Update Wednesday 13th Feb
Just a very quick update:
I have been keeping up writing, making my normal weekday target 2,000 words. More at the week-ends. I’ve now passed 35,000 words! Because I’ve been ‘between jobs’ I’ve had more time on my hands than most people, but as I am also setting up a web based business I am still quite busy! However I realised I was taking advantage of my flexible hours, so I will now be working a lot more as if I had a normal 9-5 type of job - as this example will be more use to people trying to work out if they could also do this novel in 30 days approach!
The other thing which helps me in this situation is that I currently live on my own, and therefore don’t have so many distractions and commitments as other people might have. I do however have two or three nights a week when I do other things, so that may even things out a bit!
Still, having said all that, I still have to keep my motivation and momentum up, like anyone else would… So if I do succeed in this, I think it’s a good indication that anyone could do it. Then once the first draft of the novel is finished will come the editing! But that’s not scheduled until next month… Phew!
